What you get to do:
As a member of the maintenance department, you will be responsible for the logistical support for L-39 and Hawk aircraft and associated support equipment, reporting to the Logistics Manager in the accomplishment of the following functions:
Create purchase orders to fulfill inventory requests and repair orders
Coordinate and resolve purchase order discrepancies
Source potential vendors for products and services
Receive deliveries and update inventory software
Establish and maintain maximum and minimum consumables and repairable inventory levels
Coordinate with Supply Lead to promote accurate and timely processing of orders for scheduled maintenance
Perform physical cycle counts and update inventory software
Order tooling, support equipment or material to support aircraft maintenance
Ensure calibrated tooling and support equipment it kept in a “ready for use” condition
Deliver and pick up locally repaired components
Coordinate and prepare outbound shipments
Order all supplies required in advance to keep the facility operating at peek performance
Administer and maintain inventory control program systems
Job requirements
Experience in aviation-related material planning or purchasing
Active US federal government security clearance
2+ years experience in logistics management or coordination
Working knowledge of PC computer systems and cargo management software preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Excel
Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs. minimum
Proven forklift experience or valid certification
Knowledge of handling hazardous materials or valid certification
Able and willing to travel locally with a valid Texas driver’s license
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
