Role Overview

We are seeking a Business Development Senior Director to lead strategic growth initiatives and expand A2G’s presence across U.S. and international defense markets. This role focuses on introducing A2G’s ISR capabilities to partners and customers, driving opportunity identification, qualification, and capture across DoD, Federal Agencies, and prime contractors.

The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with exceptional communication skills, deep experience in Manned and ISR services and operations, and a proven track record of delivering measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pipeline Development: Identify and qualify ISR opportunities across GSA, DoD, and Federal Agencies (CONUS/OCONUS); build a pipeline to achieve $25M+ annual bookings.

  • Capture Management: Develop and execute strategies for IDIQs, MACCs, MATOCs, and full/open competitions as Prime or strategic Subcontractor.

  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with contracting officers, program managers, primes, and small business offices.

  • Market Intelligence: Monitor procurement platforms (e.g., SAM.gov) and industry trends to anticipate opportunities.

  • Proposal Leadership: Support or lead proposal efforts, including solution development, compliance reviews, and color team activities (pink/red/gold).

  • Pricing Strategy: Shape technical and pricing strategies using price-to-win and cost modeling.

  • Collaboration: Align pursuit strategies with delivery capabilities; manage teaming agreements, NDAs, and subcontract partnerships.

  • Industry Representation: Represent A2G at industry events and government briefings; maintain CRM and reporting for BD activities.

Job requirements

Technical & Strategic Expertise

  • Broad experience across Air domain missions, with emphasis on Manned Airborne ISR (MAISR) and integration with UAS/counter-UAS capabilities.

  • Familiarity with advanced ISR technologies, including EO/IR sensors, BLOS communications, FMV systems, SAR, and secure tactical communications.

  • Understanding of AI/ML, computer vision, and data analytics applications in ISR.

  • Knowledge of multi-domain operations and joint all-domain concepts.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field

  • 7–10 years of Federal BD or capture experience in airborne ISR services

  • Proven success securing contracts with GSA, DoD, and/or Federal agencies

  • Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS, procurement lifecycles, and contract vehicles

  • Technical understanding of Manned ISR operations and systems

  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills

  • Active U.S. Government security clearance

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree

  • Experience with international markets (e.g., FMS) and coalition partnerships

  • Background in AI/ML, computer vision, or data analytics applied to ISR
