The RAVN Aerospace Maintenance Department is a mission-focused, highly skilled team dedicated to ensuring the safety, readiness, and performance of our tactical aircraft fleet. With over 50 years of combined experience supporting military adversary air programs, our team brings deep expertise in tactical aviation maintenance. Staffed by certified A&P aircraft mechanics, technicians, quality assurance professionals, and logisticians, we deliver precise, efficient, and compliant maintenance operations. The Aircraft Records Specialist is an entry-level detail-oriented, disciplined professional responsible for maintaining accurate, complete, and compliant aircraft documentation in accordance with FAA regulations and company standards. This role supports maintenance, engineering, and quality assurance teams by managing logbooks, service records, and technical documentation throughout the aircraft lifecycle. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong organizational skills, regulatory knowledge, and a collaborative mindset, contributing to cross-functional efficiency and continuous improvement of documentation processes. Flexibility and responsiveness to evolving operational needs are essential.

  • Maintain Aircraft Records: Organize, manage, and safeguard aircraft logs and documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with FAA and company standards.

  • Documentation Management: Develop and implement procedures for tracking, storing, and retrieving maintenance records, technical manuals, service bulletins, and other key documentation.

  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure adherence to regulatory record retention policies, aviation standards, and best practices across all aircraft documentation activities.

  • Quality Assurance: Perform regular audits and inspections of maintenance records to verify data integrity and address any discrepancies or deficiencies promptly.

  • Cross-Department Coordination: Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and quality assurance teams to support operational readiness through accurate and timely documentation.

  • Training Support: Assist in the education and support of personnel involved in aircraft recordkeeping, promoting understanding of compliance standards and documentation protocols.

  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to recordkeeping systems, technologies, and workflows to drive greater efficiency and reliability.

  • Emergency Support: Provide rapid access to critical records and documentation in support of incident investigations, audits, and regulatory inquiries.

  • Administrative: Preform wide range of clerical and administrative duties related to aircraft maintenance, such as preparing report and correspondence, filing and typing, preforming database and systems analysis.

  • Have or have the ability to obtain a secret clearance.

Job requirements

  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulatory requirements and aircraft maintenance documentation standards.

  • Veryon or maintenance tracking experience.

  • Part 145/135 experience.

  • High attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management abilities.

  • Proficiency in recordkeeping software and digital tracking systems such as CAMO, AMOS, or similar platforms.

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams including maintenance, engineering, and quality assurance.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in the context of compliance and documentation.

  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and maintenance data accurately.

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification preferred but not required.

Physical Demands

  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.

  • Regular use of hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls, reaching with hands.

  • Regularly ascend/descend stairs.

  • Occasional aircraft hangar or warehouse environment with exposure to loud noises, fumes from engines and chemicals, unpredictable climate (hot/cold), and electrical shock, or trip or slip hazards.

  • May be exposed to or required to handle hazardous material.

  • Specific work hours determined by operational, departmental, or contractual requirements.

  • Occasional evening, weekend, holiday work may be required.

  • Travel to various work sites may be required.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Authorization

  • Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States and complete an I-9 Form.

  • Must have a clean driving record.
