RAVN provides combat or high maneuver training for pilots, RDT&E, and maintenance services with its fully owned fleet of aircraft.

We are seeking a Facility Security Officer (FSO) to implement and manage our industrial security programs at the Ellington Field facility. This role will involve ensuring the protection of classified information and maintaining compliance with federal security regulations to support our mission-critical operations.


What you get to do:

  • Interface with all levels of RAVN personnel and government officials to ensure contract security compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), DoD Manual 5205.07, DD254, and Program Classification Guides.
  • Analyze security issues and provide clear, focused solutions to various audiences, including senior management and project managers.
  • Conduct security inspections, implement risk mitigation strategies, support audits, and ensure compliance with customer security requirements.
  • Manage personnel security clearances, document control, physical security, and security education and training programs.
  • Oversee COMSEC duties under NSA CSS 3-16 and AR 380-40, ensuring secure communications and information protection.
  • Administer day-to-day security operations including document control, audits, violation investigations, and self-inspections.
  • Support information system security, managing physical access and auditing security measures.

Qualifications:


Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 8+ years in security or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience leading teams or projects, with a strong focus on security.
  • Thorough knowledge of NISPOM, DoD security regulations, and Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) standards.
  • Familiarity with SCIFs, Closed Areas, and experience with security forms like SF-86, SF-312, and DD-254.
  • Proficiency in security databases (DISS, eQIP, NISS) and ability to complete DISS User Levels 2-6 training within six months.
  • Proven ability to create and conduct security briefings, manage a comprehensive security awareness program, and implement Technology Control Plans (TCP) for foreign visitors.
  • Active Top Secret clearance is required.

Preferred Skills and Certifications:

  • Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • FSO certification and COMSEC Custodian certification.
  • ISP or CPP Certification.
  • Experience with OPSEC plans, Access Control Systems, and Intrusion Detection Systems.
  • Familiarity with Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) is a plus.
