We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Egress Technician to oversee and perform maintenance, inspection, and compliance of aircraft egress systems within our organization. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and operational readiness of our aviation personnel by maintaining the highest standards of egress system performance and airworthiness. This position is located at our headquarters at Ellington Field.
What You Get to Do:
Perform inspection, repair, and maintenance of aircraft egress systems, including ejection seats, escape mechanisms, and associated life-support components.
Conduct routine maintenance and overhauls on MK-10 Ejection Seats to ensure system reliability and compliance with safety standards.
Develop and follow comprehensive maintenance schedules, ensuring all egress equipment remains in optimal working condition and adheres to industry regulations.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to egress system functionality, minimizing aircraft downtime.
Conduct regular audits and quality checks to verify compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, modifications, and component replacements.
Provide training to aviation personnel on proper egress system operation, safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
Stay informed about industry advancements, regulatory changes, and best practices related to egress system maintenance.
Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures concerning aircraft egress systems.
Work closely with regulatory agencies and auditors to ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards.
Collaborate with procurement to source necessary parts and supplies, ensuring availability for maintenance needs.
Job requirements
What You Bring to the Role:
A minimum of 8 years of experience in aircraft egress system maintenance, with 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
A minimum of 4 years of experience performing inspections, overhauls, and routine maintenance on MK-10 Ejection Seats.
Strong knowledge of aviation safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices related to egress systems.
Hands-on experience in inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of egress system components.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate with maintenance teams and aviation personnel.
Proficient computer skills, including experience with MS Office and maintenance tracking software.
A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Clearance Requirements:
Active Secret Clearance.
U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
